Welcome to the Greensborough Model Aircraft Club Inc. (GMAC)
Greensborough Model Aircraft Club was formed in 1968 by a group of model aviation enthusiasts who had a common interest in the building and flying of model aircraft.
Today, nearly 50 Years later, Greensborough Model Aircraft Club (GMAC) continues to promote the building and flying of model aircraft.
GMAC offers members some of the best model flying facilities in Australia. Our field and facilities are among the best in the world and allow our members to pursue and enjoy a wide range of interests in model flight. GMAC accomodates competition flyers, special discipline flight and the casual fun flyer. All are catered for in a family friendly environment with strong community links. At GMAC, we are proud of our long history and excellent safety record.

Instrument number CASA 96/17
MAAA members exempted by Instrument number CASA EX156/17
The instrument number CASA 96/17 was enacted on the 17th of October and was highlighted on the CASA website on the 20th of October 2017. CASA instrument number CASA EX156/17 was enacted on the 27th of October 2017 and specifically exempts MAAA members who are operating within MAAA guidelines - and complying with MOP0004 and MOP061.
GMAC operates under the regulatory authority of CASA and MAAA MOP's (Manual of Proceedures). You are encouraged to read the relevant legislation and MOP's and ensure the operation of your model is compliant with the legislative and regulatory requirements. The explanatory statement to CASA EX156/17 whilst long, is particularly important in understanding what this exemption means.
